More than eight in ten Poles claim that companies in the country can benefit from hiring foreigners, while 63 percent believe immigrant workers contribute to the wellbeing of the economy, according to a poll by CBOS.

However, only 38 percent of Poles think the influx of immigrants is good for Polish employees, with 43 percent claiming the opposite, CBOS said.

The poll also shows that at present Poles are more friendly towards other nations than they were a decade ago, with 30 percent of Poles claiming they know at least one immigrant living in Poland.
