Poland and Belarus Have Many Fields for Cooperation

There are many fields for cooperation between Poland and Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister said during his one-day visit to Minsk, Polskie Radio informs.

In Minsk the Polish official met with the ruler of the country Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Both politicians stressed that the trade turnover between the two countries, economic cooperation was the best way to deepen cooperation in other spheres.

Polish Deputy Prime Minister also took part in the XXth Polish-Belarusian economic forum. During his speech Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland, as well as Belarus, was a frontier country and it could be used.

“Poland is a border country for the European Union and a transit country to the East. Belarus is a border country for the Eurasian Union, which paves the way to the West”, he said.

According to data for the first half of the year, Poland is the third trade partner for Belarus and takes the ninth position among investors. Poland takes the 6th position among export countries.
