Poland to hold local elections on October 21

Poland will hold its local elections on October 21, 2018, according to an ordinance signed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and published in the official Journal of Law on Tuesday.

The second round of the election is due to take place on November 4. The vote will take place between 7 am and 9 pm.

“Poles will decide who will rule in local self-governments,” PM Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Twitter after signing the ordinance. “Let the starting election campaign be an honest competition of good proposals for Poland,” added the PM.

Today’s official announcement of the election date starts the election campaign.
