Poland’s interior ministry said that Inspector Robert Żebrowski had been offered a job as head of the traffic office at police headquarters.

“Inspector Żebrowski’s experience would increase the efficiency of work of the office in improving road safety,” the interior ministry told the PAP news agency on Tuesday.

Żebrowski was appointed as Warsaw police chief in May 2016 by Interior Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

Żebrowski has worked in the police for more than 24 years, including a stint as head of the Warsaw police criminal investigation department.
