Thirty-eight Polish companies have taken part at the 2017 Arab Health exhibition in Dubai, a four day healthcare industry trade show which started on Monday.

The Polish firms are mainly manufacturers of medical equipment, such as heart monitors, lasers and rehabilitative equipment.

“Exhibitors turning up at expos in Dubai have access to markets in Asia and Africa,” said Filip Kantowicz, who is responsible for the Polish delegates.

The Middle-Eastern and African markets potentially mean up to 400 million patients, the IAR news agency said.

In the region, some USD 12 billion (EUR 11.2 billion, PLN 48.7 billion) is spent on health care, while that is expected to grow five-fold by the end of 2025, according to IAR.

The expo ends Thursday, 2 February.
