Tunisian ‘Berlin attack’ suspect killed in Italy

The Tunisian man who was the main suspect in the terrorist attack at a Christmas fair in Berlin which killed 12 and injured 50, has been shot dead in Milan in a shootout with police.

taly’s Interior Minister Marco Minitti has confirmed that the identity of the individual shot dead after a gunfight with Italian police on Friday morning near Milan is 24-year-old Anis Amri.

The attack on Monday at a Christmas fair in the German capital saw 12 people being killed and 50 injured.

Among the dead was a Polish driver, indentified as Łukasz Urban, whose truck was said to have been hijacked and driven into the crowd.

Urban’s attempt to avoid the inevitable massacre by grabbing the steering wheel while he lay stabbed in the passenger seat, has attracted international attention for this brave deeds.
