Majority of Polish firms employ Ukrainians

The vast majority of Polish firms now employ Ukrainians, according to new research.

The survey carried out by the Gremi Personal analytical centre found that 80 percent of firms now had Ukrainians on their books, while in one-third of the firms Ukrainians now account for 10-20 percent of staff.

Ukrainians occupy both highly-qualified and low-qualified jobs in 43 percent of companies the survey found, while 18 percent of firms said they only employ highly-qualified Ukrainian personnel.

The same percentage declared they hire Ukrainians only for low-qualified jobs.

In 5 percent of the surveyed companies, Ukrainians constitute over 50 percent of the staff.

Most firms, 66 percent, said their Ukrainian staff had no problems adapting to their new jobs.
