Slovakia will impose border controls at all of its internal land borders between May 24 and June 8, a spokesperson for the Polish Border Guard has said.
Anna Michalska said that reintroduction of controls is related to the GLOBSEC 2023 Bratislava Forum, which will be taking place in the capital of Slovakia at that time.
“Everyone traveling from May 24 to June 8 from Poland to Slovakia should remember to have a valid travel documents – an identity card or a passport,” said Michalska.
She also pointed out that the Slovakian authorities had stressed that the Polish-Slovak border could be crossed only at 22 designated crossings.
This year’s 18th GLOBSEC conference will will focus on three issues: continuing support for Ukraine, strengthening Europe’s resilience in the face of war, and mitigating the global consequences of the conflict through dialogue.
