TVP World reporter visits Ukrainian city still terrorized by Russian shelling

Vovchansk, in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast, has been hit hard by the war from the outset and despite being liberated over eight months ago it remains under attack to this day. TVP World reporter Don Arleth visited the city to speak to the locals and get a better idea of the current situation.

Don spoke to Vovchansk resident Oleksiy who described a harrowing experience under Russian occupation for those who opposed the regime, depicting a city replete with a torture chamber.

“During the time of occupation they had a torture chamber located on the premises of machinery manufacturing plant. They brought all the Ukrainian people there,” Oleksiy added.

Don visited the market which had been recently obliterated by two 500 kg FAB bombs. Even during his visit he was forced to seek shelter as he witnessed firsthand the daily Russian shelling that continues to terrorise the locals.
