The United Kingdom is doubling down on its controversial plan to curb illegal migration. The latest legislative proposal, dubbed the Illegal Migration Bill, provides for extremely restrictive measures, including deportation, for those who arrive in Britain illegally. Dr. Michał Kuź, an expert on international relations from Jagiellonian Club, said that the volume of illegal immigrants to the UK is growing as only last year more than 40,000 people had arrived on small boats. He believes that illegal immigration remains a hugely controversial topic in Britain, largely due to the humanitarian aspect of this issue.
