We believe that Ukraine will win: Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak

The 2022 Warsaw Security Forum closed on Wednesday in Warsaw. State officials and security experts from over 90 countries attended the event. TVP World reporter Owidiusz Nicieja was there reporting on the event. He also interviewed General Rajmund Andrzejczak, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to the general, the immediate help the Polish people provided Ukraine with, in terms of the Russian invasion, was “opening their hearts” to Ukrainian refugees.

He said that “six million Ukrainians crossed the Polish border and we did our best to help Ukraine as a neighbour state but also anything we do for them we do exactly for defence and for the victory of Ukraine.”

Gen. Andrzejczak pointed out that Poland’s policy “is to keep Ukraine fighting”, sending equipment, ammunition and humanitarian assistance. “We believe that one day Ukraine will be free and they will win,” Rajmund Andrzejczak stressed.

He also spoke about the Ukrainian army and their bid to join NATO.
