Warsaw is one of the 18 cities to host the “ART FACTOR – The Pop Legacy in Post-War Italian Art” exhibition.

The exhibition presents the works of seven Italian artists and their journey into pop art: Valerio Adami, Franco Angeli, Enrico Baj, Lucio Del Pezzo, Gianfranco Pardi, Mario Schifano, and Emilio Tadini. The earliest pieces come from the early 20th century, and the latest were created recently. The exhibition is hosted by Warsaw’s Palace of Culture in the Kisielewski Hall until October 26, after which the exhibition will move to Athens.

Other events and news presented in the episode: a quartet of jazz musicians open the European tour of their The Bridge project in Warsaw; Cracovia Danza’s “Mickiewicz Dances” ballet celebrates Adam Mickiewicz, a famous Polish poet of the Romantic era; Michel Houellebecq’s latest novel “Anéantir” premieres in Poland as bookkeepers accept wagers on the French author’s chances to win this year’s Nobel Prize; the iconic “Hollywood” sign gets a facelift for its 100th birthday next year.
