In Monday’s episode, our host David Kennedy started the edition with our main stories which were: Polish companies rebuilding post-war Ukraine and former UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown’s demands concerning the emergency budget before a ‘financial timebomb’.

Over five hundred companies from Poland have signed up for a programme to rebuild the Ukrainian economy. Poland, due to its geographical location, wants to offer shorter logistics times and lower delivery costs for various products needed to rebuild the country. Business Arena’s guest was Dr Marcin Wojewódka from the Employers of Poland organisation.

Gordon Brown has demanded that the Government’s disaster committee, Cobra, gets together immediately to deal with the cost-of-living crisis.

Tesla Inc, the electric car company run by billionaire Elon Musk, has been accused by a top California transportation regulator of falsely advertising its autopilot and full self-driving features as providing autonomous vehicle control.

An underground hydropower plant has been built in Switzerland and it is one of the most powerful pumped storage power plants in Europe. Plant Director claims it acts like a gigantic battery capable of charging 400,000 car batteries simultaneously.

Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) is to help to develop more effective technology that could one-day power entire cities. EAST is a fusion reactor located in Hafei, China. It can reach a temperature six times higher than the Sun.
