Two Belarusians charged with spying in Poland

Two Belarusian citizens have been charged with spying for Belarus’s intelligence service, a Poznan District Prosecutor’s spokesperson told PAP on Wednesday.

The two men were detained on Monday by the Military Police and have been put under temporary arrest.

“We have established that the Belarusian citizens were to conduct surveillance of military facilities as well as civilian facilities of critical importance to Poland’s defence,” Lukasz Wawrzyniak said.

The prosecutor’s office of Poznan (western Poland), which is investigating the case, did not divulge further details or data about the subjects.
