Poland wants to live in peace, but anyone attacking the country will encounter steadfast defence, Poland’s president told a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.
Andrzej Duda made the comment in response to a question on what threats Russia posed to Poland.
He said Poland did not fear Moscow’s threats, but knew it had to be prepared for the possibility of an attack.
“We are a people who have never attacked anyone, we always wanted to live in peace, and still do,” he added. “But if anyone attacks us, they’ll have to count on us putting up a fierce defence,” Duda said.
