Over 922,000 refugees have entered Poland from Ukraine

On Saturday alone, border guards cleared a record number of 129,000 people fleeing Ukraine, the Border Guard tweeted on Sunday morning, adding that, by 7:00 a.m. on Sunday alone, their number had already reached 39,800.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs data, most of the people who have entered Poland so far are Ukrainian citizens, but there are also Poles, as well as citizens of Uzbekistan, Belarus, India, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the USA and Russia.

The Ministry of Interior informed that the Border Guard verifies all persons admitted to Poland. If they have no documents, or in case of any other problems, Border Guard officers apply appropriate checking procedures.
