Poland recorded 16,724 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 198 deaths over the past 24 hours to Friday morning, against 18,282 cases reported on Thursday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.
The healthcare system is now handling 14,403 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 15,130 recorded the day prior, including 901 patients on ventilators, against a total of 2,410 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.
The Health Ministry also reported that 149,043 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,020,672 people have recovered.
In all, Poland has already distributed 53,229,874 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,159,554 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,041,007 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
