Polish stock exchange’s WIG index sets new all-time record

WIG, the oldest index on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), rose to the highest closing value in history on Tuesday, closing at 68,616.1 points, WSE announced.

WSE said that WIG reached a record high of 68,587.97 points shortly after 9:00 am on Tuesday, rising further to 68,616.1 points at 11:40 am.

Tuesday was the 5th consecutive record day for the WSE WIG.

WIG was introduced on the WSE’s first trading session on April 16 1991.
