
The Health Ministry announced 946 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 2,870,595 including 162,327 still active. The number of active cases decreased from 163,729 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 117 new fatalities, of which 35 were due to COVID-19 alone and 82 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 73,557.
According to the ministry, 81,171 people are quarantined and 2,634,711 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 162,327 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.
As of Friday, a total of 19,175,171 people have been vaccinated, including 13,302,965 with the first dose and 6,308,403 with the second dose or the J&J vaccine.
The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 805 out of 2,495 available.
As of Friday morning, as many as 169,671,394 coronavirus cases, 3,526,317 deaths and 151,405,453 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 33,999,680, India has the second most with 27,555,457 cases and Brazil third with 16,342,162.
