COVID-19: Vaccination registration for minors over 16 starts on Monday

Registration for COVID-19 vaccination for people aged 16 and 17 started on Monday. Before the vaccination itself, completion of a questionnaire is required, which can be downloaded from gov.pl website or filled in at the vaccination point. The consent of the legal guardian is also necessary for a minor to be vaccinated.

E-referral for vaccination is given to those minors who turn 16 and older in 2021.

One can register for vaccination by phone at the 24-hour helpline 989, by sending an SMS to 880-333-333, via the e-Registration system, Patient Online Account or at a vaccination center.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has currently approved only one vaccine for 16-18 year olds – the omirnaty produced by Pfizer/BioNTech. It is a two-dose vaccine, administered intramuscularly in the arm. The adopted dosing interval is now 35 days, or 5 weeks.

There are 1.4 million people aged 15 to 18 in Poland, including 365,000 eighteen-year-olds. Registration in Poland for all adults was launched on Sunday, May 9.
