COVID-19: 32,874 new cases in Poland

On Wednesday, the Health Ministry announced 32,874 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 2,321,717 including 406,747 still active. The number of active cases increased from 388,235 yesterday.

The ministry also announced 653 new fatalities, of which 151 were due to COVID-19 alone and 502 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 53,045.

According to the ministry, 449,126 people are quarantined and 1,861,925 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 406,747 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland. The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 3,093 out of 3,961 available.

Countrywide, a total of 6,081,824 people have been vaccinated so far, including 4,062,784 who have received one dose and 2,019,040 who have been inoculated twice.

As of Tuesday morning, as many as 128,891,125 coronavirus cases, 2,818,272 deaths and 103,997,310 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 31,097,154 Brazil has the second most with 12,664,058 cases and India third with 12,149,335.
