Poland’s Iga Świątek won 6:3, 6:2 against Jil Belen Teichmann of Switzerland and made it to the final of the WTA tournament in Adelaide, Australia.

“I had fun with everything. I feel perfectly, I play solid. I had to adapt to different rotations. Fortunately, everything turned out smoothly. I do not give up. Time for some rest and regeneration,” Świątek said after the match.



In the final, the opponent of the Polish player will be the winner of the duel of another Swiss player Belinda Bencić and 16-year-old Cori Gauff of the US.



For the advancement to the final, Świątek will earn USD 51,000 and 305 points in the WTA ranking, which means that in the Monday’s edition she will be at least 16th, which will be the best place in her career.

This will be the third final in Świątek’s career. In April 2019 she lost to Slovak player Polona Hercog in the WTA tournament in Lugano, Switzerland. In October 2020, the Polish player was victorious in the Grand Slam French Open tournament.
