Polish exports grow: report

Poland’s exports between January and April grew by 3 percent year on year, reaching EUR 74.6 billion, the European Union’s statistics agency has reported.

Export growth was the fastest in the agri-food sector, with an increase of 9.6 percent year on year, according to the report by Eurostat.

The second fastest growth in exports was in the chemical industry, with 7.8 percent.

Polish imports between January and April grew by 2 percent year on year.

In the same period, the European Union as a whole saw its exports grow by 4.9 percent year on year, while imports increased by 6.6 percent, according to the report.
