Polish pottery factory produces dishes for the CIA

A well-known manufacturer of hand-made pottery from Boleslavets in South-West Poland has developed and manufactured dishes to order for the CIA. Every ceramic detail is hand-painted with the CIA logo.

As Helena Smoleńska, CEO of the Bolesławiec factory, announced on Facebook “it was a unique order and the only such decoration globally, although the company exports its products to 25 countries worldwide.

She stressed that the most difficult task was to reproduce the agency’s logo, which had to be painted by hand.

The “Artistic Ceramics” handicraft cooperative, commonly known as Bolesławiec, was established in 1950 in the former “Paul und Sohn” factory. Currently, it produces 900 designs and 5000 patterns of pottery.
