Warsaw to host 2017 Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference

The Recycling Today Media Group has selected Warsaw, Poland, as the host city for the 2017 edition of its Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference Europe event. The 2017 version of the event combines what had been two parallel programs into one dynamic program of interest to recyclers of paper and plastic materials. Recycling Today reports.

“It is again our privilege to welcome recyclers, mills, government officials, brand owners and other stakeholders in the recycling value chain from throughout Europe and globally to our conferences,” says Jim Keefe, group publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. “Poland is a fast-growing and dynamic part of the European Union economy, and was a popular destination for our event in the past. Opportunities are present in Eastern Europe, and recyclers will want to gather there.”

The event will be held at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre. It is again being organized by the Recycling Today Media Group in close cooperation with its industry programming advisors and participating recycling associations.

“We’re gratified that scrap paper and plastics collectors, processors, sellers and buyers as well as brand owners interested in the end-of life management of their goods have found this event to be a worthwhile regional and global gathering place,” says Brian Taylor, an editor with the Recycling Today Media Group.

The 2017 events will again offer sessions examining markets for established and emerging recovered paper and plastic scrap commodities in a global context. Topics covered will include restrictions in China and opportunities in Southeast Asia and India; aggressive recycling targets in the European Union and opportunities in Eastern and Central Europe; and a look at the ocean-going freight sector in the midst of another year of changes and adjustments.
