String of foreign investment projects planned in Poland

A swathe of foreign investment projects will be carried out in Poland this year and in the years to follow, according a government agency tasked with ensuring an inflow of foreign direct investment to the country.

The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) says it plans to help bring at least 205 new foreign projects to the country in the next few years.

All these combined will be worth a total EUR 4.3 billion and create 51,000 new jobs, the agency’s chief told the PAP news agency.

Tomasz Pisula added that there is “a clear upward trend” in the number and value of projects as well as in the number of jobs that foreign companies plan to create in Poland.

Last year the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency midwived 58 foreign investment projects with a total value of EUR 1.3 billion, according to Pisula.

They created nearly 12,000 new jobs nationwide, he said.
