In Ukraine rises really a huge political crisis. The deputies of parliament require the immediate report of the Head of the Central Bank Valeria Gontareva. The chief banker of the country is accused that she was collaborating with the corrupted environment of the former President Victor Yanukovich. In 2013 investment company of Gontareva “The investment capital Ukraine” as the financial broker took part in purchase of debt papers of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance in the amount of 1,5 milliards of dollars. Today these assets are arrested. The General Procurator’s office is assured that the funds for purchase of securities were stolen from the state budget, then removed in the offshore zone then were again brought to Ukraine as the investment.

The deputies of parliament claim that if Gontareva’s participation in these transactions will be proved, not only political but also criminal responsibility threatens her.

According to the deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on combating corruption Victor Chumak, Gontareva should also be called to Parliament to get information from her, who exactly is behind the Cyprus company that owns arrested in Ukraine $1,5 milliards of dollars. Without this information, the Ukrainian government two years already cannot confiscate the assets. To solve the problem, the government even prepared a special law on the confiscation, but the parliament still refuses to consider it.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship Alexandra Kuzhel sure, that Gontareva has full information about the financial schemes of the former President Victor Yanukovich. In the International Monetary Fund that last week agreed the allocation to Ukraine the next tranche of $ 1 milliard of dollars, still don’t comment on possible resignation of Gontareva in connection with the accusations.
