Prime Minister Beata Szydło on Thursday said Poland’s Treasury Minister Dawid Jackiewicz is to lose his job. Szydło confirmed that the Treasury Ministry is to be abolished by the end of this year, in line with plans previously announced by Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party.
The process of disbanding the ministry is to be overseen by senior government official Henryk Kowalczyk.
Szydło underlined that Kowalczyk is not being appointed new Treasury Minister.
