
Poland’s banking sector notched up a net profit of PLN 2.74 billion in June, up a hefty 75.7 percent on the same month last year, the central bank has said.
Second-quarter profits grew 27.9 percent year-on-year to PLN 4.82 billion. They rose 1.2 percent in the first six months.
Banks’ operating costs over the same period rose 13.2 percent to PLN 15.72 billion.
