
ShowMax had over twice as many users on PCs and laptops as Netflix on its first day in Poland, broadbandtvnews.com states.
Quoting data produced by PBI/Gemius, Press.pl says the SVOD service had 172,000 viewers who together had 756,000 opens and watched 13,353 hours of content on February 15, the day ShowMax made its debut in Poland.
At the same time, Netflix had 80,000 users, 196,000 opens and 4,620 hours of viewing time on PCs and laptops on February 15.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, ShowMax made its European debut in Poland earlier this month.
Netflix has been available in the country since the beginning of 2016 and introduced localisation last autumn.
