Poland, US discuss support for Ukraine: official

Poland and the United States have discussed ways of stepping up efforts to support reforms in Ukraine, a senior American official has said.

The US Special Representative for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, said on Twitter on Tuesday that Poland and the United States “share an interest in a strong, secure Ukraine integrated in the region and within Trans-Atlantic community.”

Volker said in a post that he this week met with Poland’s Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz to discuss ways of strengthening efforts to support reforms in Ukraine with a view to creating “an open, dynamic Ukraine.”

Czaputowicz and Volker met in Toronto on the sidelines of an annual conference focusing on international support for Ukraine, the pravda.com.ua website reported.
