According to the amendment, free legal aid will be provided to all who need it, and who declare that they can not afford it, President Andrzej Duda said on Monday.
President Duda made the statement before signing an amendment to the law on free legal assistance and legal education.
The head of state explained that the goal of the amendment was to improve access to free legal assistance as, under the current law, “free legal aid was offered to a clearly-defined group of people.”
“Free legal aid will not be limited to specific groups of people. It will be granted to anyone, who needs such assistance,” President Duda stressed.
