The lower house of parliament passed a presidential bill on free economic activity, aimed at aiding Polish businesses.

Andrzej Dera, a spokesman for the president, said the bill aims to address requests by entrepreneurs and employers who want each act which is drafted through parliamentary channels to contain an evaluation of its eventual impact on small and medium-sized businesses.

Dera said that would give businesses more information, which “is certainly one of the most important products on the market”.

The bill was backed by 439 MPs, two were against and none abstained.

It still needs to be reviewed by the Senate before it can be signed into law.
