Poland 4th largest exporter of goods to Germany: chief PKO BP economist

“Poland is the 4th largest exporter of goods to Germany,” Piotr Bujak, chief PKO BP economist, tweeted on Tuesday, adding that Polish “exporters seized the opportunity provided by the pandemic to increase their shares in the German market.”

“France, the Netherlands and Belgium lost significance in the German import,” Mr Bujak wrote.

The economist referred to PKO Research data that showed Poland “mounting the hierarchy of the most important providers of goods to Germany.”

“In 2020, our exporters overtook France and became the 4th main exporters of goods to Germany covering 5.7 percent of Germany’s import,” the report reads.
