The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has praised Poland as an example of an EU country dealing best with the vaccination process, the head of the prime minister’s office said.
“In Poland, 94 percent of nursing home medical staff and 80 percent of residents have been vaccinated since the beginning of February, 93 percent in Denmark, and Italy – over 4 percent of the total population. These three examples show that the vaccination campaign in Europe has really accelerated,” von der Leyen said.
Commenting on the matter, Michal Dworczyk, the head of the PM’s office and the government’s commissioner for the national Covid vaccination programme said that the EC president detailed Poland in the first sentence of her speech indicating it as an example of a country that is best able to deal with the process of the vaccination of citizens in the whole of the EU.
