Most Poles negative about economy, survey reveals

Over 55 percent of Poles in a United Surveys poll said Poland’s economic situation was bad, 13.6 said it was good, 23.9 percent described it as neither good nor bad, and nearly 7 percent could not say, the Dziennik Gazeta Prawa newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The newspaper noted that opinions about the country’s economy differ according to political affiliation, with 40 percent of voters for the ruling United Right coalition describing it as good, and hardly any positive opinions among supporters of the remaining political groupings.

United Surveys ran the computer-assisted poll from November 4 to 6 on a random sample of 1,000 adult Poles.
