The Polish government will subsidise the purchase of energy and natural gas for energy-intensive companies if energy prices double, Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, has announced.
“We will offer special support in this area, we will allocate around PLN 5-6 billion to compensate energy-intensive enterprises,” he told a Thursday press conference.
According to the presentation shown at the press conference, this support will be available already this year if energy prices rise by at least 100 percent.
