German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday urged Russian strongman Vladimir Putin during a phone call to find a diplomatic solution for the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, in only six months, eight Russian businessmen have committed “suicide.”

To answer questions regarding these issues, we were joined by Sergei Erofeev, sociologist at Rutgers University.

As Mr Erofeev pointed out, there are many intensifying hints that Vladimir Putin’s elite “is becoming increasingly disturbed.”

“You can see it on the Kremlin’s propaganda channels,” he explained, adding that the invited “experts” have no idea what to do amid the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

“Looking at the battlefield… [one can say that] Putin has been losing since day one,” Mr Erofeev noted.
