Poland’s CPI hits 13.9 pct y/y in May – stats office

Prices of consumer goods and services (Consumer Price Index, CPI) increased by 13.9 percent year on year and by 1.7 percent month on month in May 2022, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Tuesday.

Analysts surveyed by PAP had expected a 13.8-percent annual hike in consumer prices in May on a 1.6-percent monthly increase.

In April 2022, the prices of consumer goods and services increased by 12.4 percent year on year and by 2.0 percent month on month.
