Ukrainians in Poland can get their children fully vaccinated after consulting a doctor, a government minister said on Tuesday.
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children are now in Poland having fled their homeland owing to the Russian invasion.
“Every Ukrainian mother who reports to a doctor in Poland will be able to have their children inoculated against childhood diseases,” Waldemar Kraska, a deputy health minister, told Polish Radio.
Kraska said the free vaccinations will be carried out even if the child does not possess full medical documentation from Ukraine. In such cases, he said, the doctor will decide which vaccination the child should receive.
Kraska added that Ukrainian children are also eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations in Poland.
