Poland cooperates with NATO to supply Ukraine with weapons: Polish PM

Poland is working with NATO to supply defensive weapons to Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Wednesday during a press conference in the southern town of Siemianowice Śląskie.

The Prime Minister has not revealed any details, pointing out that the issue must remain confidential for security reasons. He assured that Poland was indeed helping in the deliveries.

“Poland is trying to help in providing Ukraine with defensive weaponry with which to protect lives and territory. We are working together with NATO, but for obvious reasons we won’t be disclosing any details of the operation,” said Morawiecki.

A similar message was conveyed on Tuesday by Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby, who said that NATO was supplying Ukraine with equipment. He stated that Ukraine had received aircraft and aircraft components from several countries, and added that the US had helped in delivering the components to Ukraine, but was not involved in supplying the whole aircraft.
