Poland will face Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia in Group C at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, organizers announced on Friday.

The Friday draw ceremony for the Middle East’s first World Cup was held in Doha, Qatar.

Poland’s national football team have been drawn to play Mexico in their opening match in Qatar on November 22. Four days later, they will face Saudi Arabia before playing Argentina on November 30.

Poland finished behind England in their World Cup qualification group but booked their place in the World Cup finals with a 2-0 win over Sweden on March 29.

Football’s world governing body FIFA earlier this month banned Russia from the playoffs for the World Cup in Qatar, giving Poland a bye to the playoff finals in European qualifying for the tournament.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to be held in Qatar on November 21 – December 18.
