Poland will do what lies in its powers to enable employment to Ukrainian war refugees, a government official said on Friday.
Marlena Malag, the family and social policy minister, said employment procedures for Ukrainians had to be well planned and coordinated as there were already 2.5 million of them in Poland. She added that 25,000 of them have already found work, mainly in the hospitality sector and seasonal jobs.
“We want to do all we can to enable Ukrainian citizens to seek employment… Poland has opened its borders (to Ukrainian refugees – PAP)… but today there are 2.5 million of them here, so these procedures have to be properly coordinated,” Malag said in Wloclawek, central Poland.
