Poland reports 4,997 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, 133 deaths

Poland recorded 4,997 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 133 deaths over the past 24 hours to Thursday morning, against 5,742 cases reported on Wednesday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

The healthcare system is now handling 4,544 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 4,963 recorded the day prior, including 308 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,299 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.

The Health Ministry also reported that 10,958 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,323,067 people have recovered and 115,173 have died.

In all, Poland has already distributed 53,924,321 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,347,421 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,482,084 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
