Poland recorded 8,241 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 110 deaths over the past 24 hours to Friday morning, against 8,994 cases reported on Thursday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.
The healthcare system is now handling 5,913 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 6,206 recorded the day prior, including 358 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,378 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.
The Health Ministry also reported that 53,757 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,277,322 people have recovered and 114,736 have died.
In all, Poland has already distributed 53,843,927 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,329,626 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,427,362 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
