Poland reports 5,696 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, 12 deaths

Poland recorded 5,696 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 12 deaths over the past 24 hours to Sunday morning, against 10,379 cases reported on Saturday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

The healthcare system is now handling 6,669 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 6,885 recorded the day prior, including 413 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,528 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.

The Health Ministry also reported that 51,693 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,231,888 people have recovered and 114,218 have died.

In all, Poland has already distributed 53,776,917 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,315,117 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,381,293 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
