Former UK PM arrives in Poland with aid for Ukrainian refugees

David Cameron/Twitter

Former British Prime Minister David Cameron announced on Twitter on Saturday night that he had arrived in Poland with humanitarian aid for Ukrainian war refugees.

“Well, nearly a thousand miles, over 20 hours of driving and we’ve made it to the Red Cross depot here in Poland, quite close to the border, so the refugees can get the things that have been brought here,” Cameron said in a video posted on Twitter.

In an earlier post, the former head of the British government explained that Chippy Larder, the organisation that had collected the aid for Ukrainian refugees, is a food project in his local town, which helps low income families with surplus food from supermarkets.
