The Ukrainian staff of the Armed Forces reported that approximately 16,000 military volunteers from various countries are coming to Ukraine, willing to support it in the fight against the Russian invader.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the creation of an international legion made up of foreigners a few days ago.

The legion will operate within the territorial defence forces. President Zelenskiy said that those who wanted to “join the resistance to the Russian invader and defend world security were invited.”

“It will be a key proof of your support for our country,” he said.

The President added that those willing to join the legion can report to the military attaché of Ukrainian embassies in their countries.
