The Health Ministry announced additional 20,902 confirmed infections in Poland out of which 2,101 were COVID-19 re-infections, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 5,540,162 including 606,160 still active. The number of active cases was 622,935 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 283 new fatalities, of which 66 were due to COVID-19 alone and 217 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 109,792.
How many people quarantined in Poland?
According to the ministry, a total of 254,266 people are quarantined and 4,824,210 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 606,160 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Saturday a total of 53,003,321 vaccine doses have been administered and 22,089,979 people have been fully vaccinated.
The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 1,017 out of 2,527 available.

As of Saturday morning, as many as 422,490,486 coronavirus cases, 5,894,531 deaths and 347,133,437 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 80,024,531. India has the second most with 42,802,505 cases and Brazil third with 28,064,224.
