COVID-19: 9,609 new infections in Poland, active cases decreasing

The Health Ministry announced 9,609 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 3,968,450 including 418,066 still active. The number of active cases decreased from 431,372 yesterday.

The ministry also announced 29 new fatalities – six from COVID-19 alone and 23 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland increased to 91,514.

According to the ministry, 445,032 people are quarantined and 3,458,870 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 418,066 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.

As of Monday a total of 45,552,262 vaccine doses have been administered and 20,841,341 people have been fully vaccinated.

The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 2,116 out of 2,891 available.

As of Monday morning, as many as 275,075,389 coronavirus cases, 5,372,280 deaths and 246,876,249 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 51,765,714, India has the second most with 34,746,838 cases and Brazil third with 22,213,762.
